MARKIN-MACPHAIL LEGACY TRAIL

The Markin-MacPhail Westside Legacy Trail is a multi-recreational world-class network of paved trails that connects the communities of Invermere and Fairmont Hot Springs. The trail is broken into seven segments and offers 25-kilometres of trail, seven picnic areas, three creek crossings, and 7 interpretive areas that offer endless outdoor enjoyment for the entire family.

THE JOHNSON

If you like a fast flowy singletrack, this trail is for you!  The trailhead is located near Lake Lillian; this 11-kilometre trail forms a loop through open forest and along the Toby Creek Canyon offering both intermediate and experienced riders not only a challenging and thrilling ride but spectacular views. If you’re a novice looking to gain some experience, look for the Junior Johnson which starts from the Johnson trailhead.

MOUNT SWANSEA

Considered the Columbia Valley’s premier mountain biking destination, Mount Swansea offers approximately 20-kilometres of mostly black diamond trails and is not for the faint of heart. However, if you are prepared for a challenge, you will be well rewarded with an adrenaline-filled day.

CROSS RIVER CANYON TRAILS

Located at Nipika Mountain Resort, the Cross River Canyon Trails offers a magnificent network of trails spanning over 1,500 acres and is set along the scenic Kootenay and Cross River Valley. Trails range from north and south of the resort. The south loop offers beginner terrain, while the north trails towards the Cross River vary from beginner to expert.
